Spring Break 2012

The boys had an awesome Spring Break. Day one (Friday)- Skiing/Snowboarding at Loveland Pass. This was P's 2nd time on the slopes and he tried his hand at snowboarding. He is a natural. B has never been, and snowboarding was NOT his thing, despite being a pretty decent beginner skateboarder. He switched to skis and rocked it! I hate that I don't have any pics to post- they are all on Kyle's phone. :( I will get them!
Sunday, we headed to John Martin Reservoir to go camping. I swear, these boys were in heaven! The campgrounds were very nice and the weather was great...until Monday. SO.WINDY. Ugh. Wind and camping does not go together. I mean, it was so bad, it was blowing our tent all the way down. Those stakes were getting tested!
Our last night there, Kyle forgot to put the cooler in the van. Needless to say, we had a visitor or two rummaging through it. We lost: a package of brats, hot dogs, hot dog buns and numerous slices of cheese. LOL
**A did pretty good- this was his first camping trip. He LOVED playing in the dirt.
We had a fun 3-day camping experience, s'mores and all.
Kyle is looking forward to taking P and B back this Summer.

The last weekend of Spring Break, P and B went to a friends' birthday party. They fished, went on paddle boats and flew kites. It was a sleep over, too, so pizza and video games all night. It was a fun end to their break. They had a blast.

A visit from Grandpa Sharp AND Terah!

We had a super fun long weekend this past week. Grandpa flew in for a visit on the 15th and Terah got in on the 16th. Grandpa came up from Texas to help with some projects around our house- and Terah came for FUN!
While Grandpa was helping Kyle with replacing the seals on the exterior doors and replacing a fence, Terah and I were snowshoeing and getting our nails done. ;) Hey- I needed some girly time, what can I say.
I picked T up at the airport and we headed straight to Breckenridge! It was a gorgeous day- we were very lucky!

On Saturday, we just relaxed. Got our nails done while the guys put new shelves in the garage.
Saturday night was St. Patrick's Day, so the littles stayed home with Grandpa and we went out to Copper Rail. We had fun-- see? Green Beer!

We also went to BWW before heading home and playing cards with Grandpa. This was a fun (late) night.
Sunday- we slept in...then Terah, the littles and I headed to the Downtown Aquarium in Denver. We love this place- our second trip this year alone.

And then- we had lunch at Casa Bonita with my friend Marcie! ;) This place is a little weird...and Terah lost her wallet here. We were a little distracted...but we had some fun. We ate, played games in the arcade, went through the "cave" and watched the cliff divers and mariachi band.

 And what trip to Denver would be complete without a puzzle, T? :)

We started this puzzle Sunday night and had it finished before noon on Monday. LOL. NERDS.
It was a fun puzzle and it provided tons of entertainment.

Oh- and T had her wallet returned. A lady found it outside of Casa Bonita and called T's work #. We were able to pick it up before her flight out.

He had so much fun this afternoon- and cannot wait to sign up. He tests for his white belt on Wednesday. :)

Yup- I ran two miles straight. My ave. mile was 12.5 minutes, but whatever! I didn't stop!

{skate} park

Brendan is determined to learn to skateboard. He practices whenever he can.
He had a friend sleepover Friday night- and they both wanted to go to the skate park by our house.
Being the cool mom that I am- I took them. ;)
We stayed for over an hour and they had the best time.
Peyton isn't into skateboarding so he brought his bike.
Austin was NOT happy that he couldn't play with P and B (and dude, LOL). <-- that is what Brendan calls all of his friends, so now Austin thinks that is their name. Aye.
